I wasn't too keen on using watermarks at first, never did at Renderosity. But I feel if I'm going to make a go at doing commission work that I would be shooting myself in the foot by not put a watermark. Takes something away from the render but I'm sure people will see where I'm coming from? Damn, that was way too serious!!
lol I understand what you're saying. I didn't want to screw up my work with watermarks either. In this day and age tho... altho it's easy to go into photoshop and take it out... it's more of a safety feature so if your work is taken, you can atleast say HEY, this even SAID it was copyright by me! AT THIS DATE AND TIME! So if someone tries to make money off your stuff, you have more of a concrete proof that it was yours and was taken without permission. I have lawyers that are so pissed they haven't been used in years but they also know I don't contact em unless it's a big deal. So far, I've won every case lol. It's usually due to the fact I have a copyright somewhere with a date and time stamp... not to mention... my hiding the signature inside the image.
I don't know who is worst, lawyers/solicitors scamming us out of money or internet thieves? Both do a good job taking money that belongs to us!!!! Hidden signature is a good idea, but yours is so good that "I canae see it captain!"
